Please put copy and move back into the longpress context menu. Or have an option if some people like the operations submenu
You still long-press the file to get the context menu, but you don't have to hunt into a submenu for these most-frequently used operations. If some people really want the submenu, maybe add an option to have these in the main context menu. Or move checksum, change date, and make a new zip into the submenu. As nice as these are, I use copy, move and delete much more often.

Swap progress bars for current file / total files
The progress bar for Copy/Move displays two separate bars on top of each other.
However, the overall progress sits on top of the current file progress bar and makes the current progress increasingly useless. As the overall progress increases, it hides the current file progress.
E.g. overall progress of 99% hides the current file progress almost permanently. If the bars were swapped, the current file progress would only hide the overall progress for the time the current file progress is greater than overall progress.
E.g. if overall progress is 99%, the current file progress can almost never hide it completely.1 vote -

Add "Open with..." to the toolbar
"Open with..." is an option i use constantly, and this would be more convenient than long-holding the file entry every time. to get into the menu.

Expert Mode / Simple Mode
Expert Mode and Simple Mode. So it doesn't overwhelm the people who only need 20% of the program's capacity, and then it is unfettered for us nerds.

WebDAV: Allow HTTP (at least for local servers)
The WebDAV Plugin currently doesn't support HTTP servers because every attempt (adding http:// and/or just setting the port or editing the entry in favorites) reverts the entry to HTTPS and adds the http:// part to the path.
Would be nice to have a possibility to add an HTTP-WebDAV - at least on a local network.

Add optional hash checking/confirmation upon Copy and Move
[From my email (with minor edits):]
I'm (still...) looking for an Android file manager that will generate/compare hashes of files and directories, to confirm that files and directories copied correctly to an OTG USB drive. Better yet if such would optionally integrate with the copy and move actions; with move, the source file/directory would only be removed if the hashes match.
Haven't found this functionality, yet. (I've only found "one file at a time" apps/functionality having a lot of cumbersome clicking and copy/pasting.)
Mentioning, just in case the idea appeals to you.

Some feature requests
Please add an option to set the startup (default) folders for both panes. Also an option to reset the tabs to their default values.
Please make the root folder tab color from bright tacky red to something softer (burgundy) or make it user customizable.
Please make the home pane customizable.
Pressing back button repeatedly eventually takes me to the red root pane and after that back button is disabled and I am stuck there, Please allow back button to exit the program after root tab or add an option for exit in the three dots menu.
[not so important] Please…

Add a GUI directory selector in Copy/Move and Save As dialogs
The Copy/Move dialog displays the destination directory, which by default is set to the directory of the opposite panel as in all orthodox file managers The destination can be changed in the dialog, however, only by manual input. There is no way to select a directory via GUI. There is a similar problem with the Save As dialog in the editor. I suggest to add to these dialogs an option for a GUI directory selector. Out of curiosity, I checked Total Commander on Android, and it has a GUI selector in these dialogs. The best option for a GUI selector…

Spacemacs or VS Code theme for Ghost Command
The theme collection in GC is not wide for any taste for better or worst or as I put it better it's quiet narrow. However making changes to the looks is very easy but a couple of pre-prepared themes would be nice. My point being everyone I talked about (an oral poll in computer department actually) likes or feel neutral toward Spacemacs or VSCode default theme. So I believe it would be a good progress to make the software look nicer.

Search file result should display path (e.g. in Info)
You can search for files in GhostCommander by name pattern, using *.
This is a very useful feature. When you search for files you get a list of files as result.
In the result list, each file is displayed with name size and age.
Each file has an Info context menu popup window that displays hashsums of the file, apart from repeating the name and the size. The Info popup does not display the path of the file.
The only option to retrieve the path of a file (I found) is the copy name and paste into an editor.

Create a way for file conversion detection and automation. This could and would solve two major frustrations for end users.
First, create a way to detect a playlist stored and owned by an end user. For example, If one had a playlist in the format of an m3u with movies and or television channels and or old home videos on it stored on their hard drive and Ghost Commander could recognize it, and then automate a process that could copy and then convert the playlist into a beautiful XMLTV file also known as an EPG..
