1. Search file result should display path (e.g. in Info)

   You can search for files in GhostCommander by name pattern, using *.
   This is a very useful feature.

   When you search for files you get a list of files as result.
   In the result list, each file is displayed with name size and age.
   Each file has an Info context menu popup window that displays hashsums of the file, apart from repeating the name and the size.

   The Info popup does not display the path of the file.

   The only option to retrieve the path of a file (I found) is the copy name and paste into an editor.
   I need an editor to see the path of the file from the the GhostCommander search result list.

   I would like to see the path of the file directly in GhostCommander, e.g. in the Info popup with the hashsums.

2. Set correct Timestamp on files copied to internal storage (in root mode, Android 7 and prior))

   Problem: on all Android versions 7 and prior that use FUSE, a well known bug exists that causes the timestamp on all files copied to internal storage to be set to current OS time. And it's not possible to change any file attributes without root privileges.

   Solution: on phones where root is present, explicitly set the timestamp on each copied file to that of the source file after each copy operation. This behavior would be consistent with pretty much every OS in existance. Ideally if possible this should be done universally on all copy operations as long as root is present -- not just when the user access file system in root:/# mode.

3. Schduled task or automation

   Add automation features like scheduling tasking. For example, user can create a flow to copy files from device folder into network folder or cloud drive. This would help to backup photos quicker and automatically.

4. I want to be able to stop people from hacking in backgrounds in phone

   I feel for the person that has been hacked nothing worse the having a new phone and someone else just using it for there on data or whatever the reason but it would be nice to just put something in the search bar and lock them to your phone but disable it. After 3 months I have thought how is this possible factory reset ass they you last password and then your done wants they have access to it.

7. Dual-Screen support

   LG recently made some phones (V50, V60, G8X) that you can extend with a secondary display and view them side-by-side.
   Ghost Commander is a perfect example where this dual-screen setup could be useful.
   However the app needs to support this "wide-view" feature, otherwise it can only be displayed on one of the screens.

9. Create a way for file conversion detection and automation. This could and would solve two major frustrations for end users.

   First, create a way to detect a playlist stored and owned by an end user. For example, If one had a playlist in the format of an m3u with movies and or television channels and or old home videos on it stored on their hard drive and Ghost Commander could recognize it, and then automate a process that could copy and then convert the playlist into a beautiful XMLTV file also known as an EPG..
   In the world of IoT and 5G, Wifi 6 and so much more...Imagine planning a family reunion where guests could enter and view the night's agenda 6:00pm Jonny's school recital, 6:30 Old Christmas gift openings, and of course the headlie Jill Doe's LIVE performance on the latest LIVE TV singing contest premiering at 730 on a channel theuser already has the ability to record and set a time they choose to watch. Imaggnte Ectronic Programming Guie no longer being ld hostage to those who are tech saavy. Break free the EPG and enjoy the use conversion automation.

   Which leads into step two, On hsdetectionb and conversion automasion can easily be set up...Imagine a Ghost commander that was more than storfage (which it already is in many ways) However imagine a world where you can come home after spending thousands of dollars on a beautiful Television you plug it in and go to download your TV subscription service...or maybe just watch some youtube. Only you find out the Jewff zos Ex is now with the Google board of directors. Now for what ever reason you cant play the youtube app on TIZEN OS (whatever that is) Well no problem. Justr pop the apk file into ghost commander, tell it you want to convert for usage with TIZEN OS and voi las! A brand new copy of YOu tube in a TPK form ready to be sideloaded and watched. A bette world. Now I know there would be MAJOR limitations but for two android based platforms not to be able to play the same apps...is ridonkulous. TIZEN. Instead I have to go to your "SMART HUB" and type 12345 to get into developer mode download you studio and see what it is, what m,easley crumbns I can piece together when you chose to exploit your users and hold the power of Android hostager while at the same time using the power of ASndroid for yourselves. Well I have a friend, his name is Ghost Commander, and I hope he will help me help you witgh your dumb appstore decision. Otherwwise I am going to end up doing something stupid like flashing my 20216 tv and then be furious that I bricked it.

   Automated EPG for IPTV and (home movies and stuff whatever)
   Auto converting software that already should be able to run becauyse they are built from the same platform and language. Talking to you Tizen OS if you can even call yourself that. Thank you so much.

11. Improve ssh key exchange

    I've got my server locked down pretty tight for ssh key exchanges, since some of the older protocols have security issues. The SFTP plugin doesn't appear to support them. I get the following message and ghost commander just sits saying "wait..."

    My server says:
    sshd[31951]: Unable to negotiate with <ipaddress> port 40118: no matching key exchange method found. Their offer: diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha1,diffie-hellman-group14-sha1,diffie-hellman-group1-sha1 [preauth]

14. I would like to use this app as a ringtone picker

    I need an app as a ringtone picker that can select system files because of a bug in the signal messenger on my smartphone. Other open source apps like the File Manager by simplemobiletools.com can do this but it cannot select system files.

    Make Buttons in bottom menu, not just texts.

    Currently the text menu has no clear separation, so can press other menu item accidentally.

19. Calculate occupied space

    Midnight Commander, Total Commander for Android, Winscp has the features to calculate occupied space of listed directories.

    Although it is possible for local directories in Ghost Commander (select all and Info menu), but it doesn't have a dedicated button or menu item.
    I would suggest to have a dedicated button or menu item for this feature.

    Also this feature should also work for remote panel, for example an sftp directory.

    This would be a very useful feature.

20. improve using more external sdcards

    Hi,
    I am not sure if this is the right place for a patch. It improves using more than one external sdcard (or otg flash disk). In the list on home screen you can see the block id of the partition and SAF can be used to access multiple partition at once. My use case is simply to copy files from otg flash disk to sdcard or vice versa. Could you, please, implement something like this?

    Hi,
    I am not sure if this is the right place for a patch. It improves using more than one external sdcard (or otg flash disk). In the list on home screen you can see the block id of the partition and SAF can be used to access multiple partition at once. My use case is simply to copy files from otg flash disk to sdcard or vice versa. Could you, please, implement something like this?
