  1. Support for SSH Authentication API in combination with OpenKeychain to use OpenPGP keys.

Support authentication subkeys on smart cards and other security tokens (Yubikey) over NFC and USB like TermBot SSH does.

  3. Add verify option for writing files

Add a verify option (that can be turned on and off) to guarantee correctly written files. Helps to detect faulty sd cards or devices. When active, the written data should be re-read from device and compared by hash (eg. md5) to detect write errors.

  4. Local storage and external SD card swapped

It's more like a question than a request or suggestion. I have noticed that after factory reset GC sometimes swaps local and external storage: when I tap on local storage on Home panel it shows contents of the external card and when I tap on external card it shows contents of internal storage. Any other file manager installed on my phone show these correctly. Any ideas to fix this?

  5. Sort directories by size when sorting files by size.

Similar to UNIX: du -sh * | sort -hr

This may be slow, so it can be done by having a low-priority background thread calculate directory sizes and update the list asynchronously only if the user hasn't moved on to some other directory.

  6. Add a terminal!!

Nothing fancy, maybe let us write our scripts with the text editor, ability to execute them, and move them to whatever file directrory we might want them. Would be nice to do it all from ghost. Would eliminate having to download another app.

  9. Select files by tapping their icon/preview

Add a checkbox that would allow us to select a file by tapping on its icon or preview regardless of its size.
(Currently it's possible to mimic this for a single level of icon/preview size only.)

  10. to add descending option to sort method

I would like to suggest descending option in sort files. I believe people will like to see newer files first. Now we can do it by selecting twice the same sort method. It's a bit long way for touchable screens.

  11. Unpack to separate subfolder

When unpacking an archive need an option to unpack it in subfolder. For example when I download new music album which compressed in zip I first need to create folder with desired name and then make extraction in this folder. Might be good idea to add folder detection to not create one manually.
PS. This ability exists in Total Commander for android.

  12. Add support for Android TV

There isn't very much choice with file explorers that support android TV (leanback launcher). Ghost commander would be a great choice!

  15. Add a "token" option to the sftp plugin.

right now the sftp plugin uses a userid and password, however many systems use a one-time-token (like Google Authenticatior).

After the password prompt there is another prompt for the token, however GC doesn't currently have a away to handle this.

  16. Sliding menu: bottom menu line should be swiped by page. The best example for this is Apex Launcher, which has a - sliding "Dock" feature.

Problem: bottom menu line currently is swiped without page flip, just dragged.

    Suggestion: Page based sliding menu:
The bottom menu line should be swiped by page.
The best example for this is "Apex Launcher", which has a
    - sliding "Dock" feature.
Also might be useful to check "Apex settings/Dock settings". Note the
    - "Infinite scrolling"
    and
    - "Show indicator"
options, which are also useful features.

  17. Enable viewing of pdf files

Click on the left side of a file in the GC list. This would open the file in an external viewer such as FB Reader. This could involve choosing the external viewer in a Setting, or using Android's program picker.

  19. Tree Command

I've been hacked, and rooted, overlay installed, and being monitored. Everyone thinks I'm crazy, even you the reader.
    - My wonderful hacker left me a gift. They installed Goast Commander on my phone. It doesn't have SU and they've implemented Administrative privileges to limit my attempts to get them out of my phone.
    - GC having it's own set of privileges allows me to get to root / it would be extremely convenient to execute a command that list everything to a text file.

Tree /. > TreeLst.txt with the obvious switches for single directory lever with all sublevels,…

  20. Share file(s) with GC -> GC compresses and encrypt the file with 7z with a predefined password and sends it to cloud/SD/WhatsApp..

Purpose: Easy compression and encryption from every app for sharing files with friends or storing securely in the cloud. Full compatibility with all systems due to standard 7zip format.

Situation: I viewing e.g. a PDF in Adobe Reader or another app

    1. Click "Share".
    2. click "Secure with GC" -> in the next step, the shared file is compressed directly in a 7zip file with a user pre-defined password (normally you could use the same password for your cloud)
    3. Next, another "Share" dialogue opens in which the encrypted 7zip file can be stored via GC in the cloud or be shared again…
