Add an Menuentry for opening the progress windows (after the progress windows was closed)
After you click on close in the progress window, there is no action to open it again.
it would be nice, to get the progress window back again.

Select files by tapping their icon/preview
Add a checkbox that would allow us to select a file by tapping on its icon or preview regardless of its size.
(Currently it's possible to mimic this for a single level of icon/preview size only.)23 votes -
Add a "token" option to the sftp plugin.
right now the sftp plugin uses a userid and password, however many systems use a one-time-token (like Google Authenticatior).
After the password prompt there is another prompt for the token, however GC doesn't currently have a away to handle this.

Upload to Facebook (and social sites) by long-pressing or selecting a file(s)
Posting pictures to Facebook is a HUGE hassle when using the Facebook app or using the native browser to access Facebook, because the PlayBook tablet groups ALL pictures/videos/etc from all sub-directories and lumps them in one place. With a 64 gig PlayBook, I have a lot to pic through (thousands of pictures) and it's very hard to find the pic or vid I want to post.
If Ghost Commander could add a feature to allow a picture or video file to be selected and have an option or posting to various social sites right there on the menu, that would…22 votes -
implement a filter/hide/ignore list
Implement a filter option as a user configurable ignore list, which can be turned on or off, and which contains file name patterns to ignore. E.g. I might choose to render all ".txt~" files invisible, as they are temp files from a text editor.
Best would be to also have an indicator, e.g. "[]" or just an asterisk, at the end of the path spec in the title bar as a reminder that filtering is active.
As to competing File Managers, I may be a bit short sighted, but anyhow so far I have personally not seen any…21 votes -

Add support for Ed25519 keys on SFTP
As some sites require Ed25519 keys, it would be nice if Ghost Commander's SFTP plugin adds support for this new algorithm.

Create a way for file conversion detection and automation. This could and would solve two major frustrations for end users.
First, create a way to detect a playlist stored and owned by an end user. For example, If one had a playlist in the format of an m3u with movies and or television channels and or old home videos on it stored on their hard drive and Ghost Commander could recognize it, and then automate a process that could copy and then convert the playlist into a beautiful XMLTV file also known as an EPG..

Able to delete files from SD card (ES can do it why not you)
Able to move and delete files from/to SD card. ES File Explorer can now do it without being rooted. Any reason why you can't implement it? I really like GC, but every time I have to do something on the SD card I have to use ES.

Quick scroll handle
Scrolling throug long file lists (in directory panels) or text files (in the editor) by swipes alone can be very tedious. Please add a scroll bar handle where applicable.

Move remote files remotely
If I connect to a remote target (my NAS) to move files from one directory to another they are first downloaded to my Android device and afterwards uploaded to the new directory. This should be done on the remote device directy which would much more faster and reliable.

Stable SSH key authentication
While a "proper ssh server authentication" would be nice, there is a very simple change that would make SFTP plugin useful where it is not now.
When connecting to a laptop the current approach with private key per host isn't really working, as the laptop's ip and hostname are different every time.
That could be solved if the plugin would first try /sdcard/.GhostCommander/keys/<hostname>/keyfile and then - if the key file is not found - try a "global" key in the /sdcard/.GhostCommander/keys/keyfile

enable/disable auto reload
Currently, panel content is inevitably reloaded after every operation. Whilst this behaviour may be convenient, there are various scenarios where it turns really painful, e. g.
- local directories with many files (hundreds or thousands)
- any listings with thumbnails
- any search results (being recalculated again and again)
- remote directory listings over slow/expensive connections, especially when there are many files
As a user who frequently works with such cases or, even worse, combinations of them, I would greatly appreciate if auto reloading was optional.
