Add the option to Export and Import GC settings
After having spent a while configuring GC to my personal needs, it would be nice to export my favorite settings either for a mere backup purpose or to eventually clone the same configuration on another device... Rather that using a 3rd party backup app
3 votesOpen the settings, then press the menu button (physical or the action bar).

Add support for USB OTG devices (e.g. usb sticks)
There seems to be no way to access a USB OTG device from ghost commander. It would be nice if users could access such devices (e.g. usb sticks) and also save bookmarks/a fav to folders on such a device.
23 votesExternal and OTG drives now fully supported through the SAF mode. Files could be opened and edited.

Long press a folder and have the ability to open this folder in the other panel.

Have the Search function display files/folders as they are found, rather than waiting until the search is complete.
In many of my searches, I'm only looking for one files, often distributed across a large number of folders. If the Search function displayed results as they were found, I could save lots of time by cancelling the search as soon as I see my file.

Please add an ability to specify custom su location (Unofficial build available)
Not all Android devices can have su in $PATH. Some devices show annoying warnings or apps will refuse to run if such devices detect su in popular location.
I've created an unofficial version of Ghost Commander which adds custom su location option, so please pull it if you like my idea:

Please make it open source
Since the app is already donation-supported, releasing the source code can't hurt. Also, it would increase confidence that the app isn't doing anything bad. Finally, it might attract more developers to improve the app faster.
If you're concerned about someone using the source to make a competing app, you could use a "viral" license like the GPL so they have to share all changes under the same license.
1 voteThe application IS an open source, under GPL v3 license.

Add an option to disable the gesture that swaps file panes
The new swipe gesture that switches focus to the opposite file pane (intoduced in v1.41) can interfere with scrolling. File lists only scroll if finger movement is near vertical. Otherwise, the list does not scroll. Also, on large screens (e.g. 10" tablets), the new swipe gesture is hard to use (especially when you can simply tap the opposite panel).
Please add a checkbox in the settings to disable the swipe gesture that switches file pane focus.
